No et moi (Delphine de Vigan)

No et moi is arguably the most notable work to be produced by the French novelist Delphine de Vigan, winning the Rotary International Prize as well as the Prix des libraires in France shortly after its publication. Boasting translations in 20 different languages plus the release of a film adaptation in 2010, the increasing popularity of this title resulted in Delphine de Vigan becoming a full-time professional writer.

One of the key literature texts featured on the new AS and A-level French syllabus (AQA and Edexcel exam boards), No et moi remains a firm best-seller.

The story is centred around the life of gifted yet insecure 13-year-old pupil Lou Bertignac and her struggle to help No, a homeless young woman 5 years her senior. Featuring short, easy-to-follow chapters and presenting a clear overview of contemporary French society via the exploration of topics such as homelessness, No et moi will serve as a captivating read for any learner of French at intermediate or advanced level.
